Concord-Lexington Battle April 19, 1775 by Patrick J. Barosh, PhD In-Person

Join longtime Bristol resident Patrick Barosh for a talk summarizing the events leading up to the first armed resistance to his Majesty’s Government and examining eyewitness accounts of the actual events of the day. The lecture will also cover the formation of the first American Army, the accidental fight, Paul Revere’s real name, Samuel Prescott’s midnight ride to Concord, the importance of sex in Middlesex, John Handcock’s traveling dinner, and more.

Patrick Barosh lived in Concord for almost 30 years and made numerous studies and led tours in the region, including ones for the Minuteman Historical National Park. An expert on earthquakes and the earth’s structure, he has worked all around the world and written many geologic guide books about various regions in New England, including the 2012 book entitled “A City Upon a Hill: The Geology of the City of Boston & Surrounding Region.”
