Get to Know AAUW In-Person

This is the first meeting of the year for The American Association of University Women (AAUW). This event is AAUW's opportunity to talk about meetings that will take place, meet current AAUW members, and learn about the organization's mission.

At this meeting, two teachers will describe how science kits funded by AAUW grants got their students excited about learning science. Maria Clarey, an eighth grade Science teacher from Tiverton Middle School, purchased Strawberry DNA extraction kits. Kevin Bolano, a 5/6/7th grade teacher in Newport chose a kit that introduced chemical analysis techniques.

This event is free, open to the public, and an open invitation for women interested in learning more about the AAUW. AAUW is a non-profit organization established prior to 1900 to help advance education and equity for women and girls. AAUW meetings are scheduled monthly, except in January.

No registration is required for this event. Seating is first come, first served.
