YA Essentials - Writer's Aid Series In-Person
Learn all about what it takes to develop a YA novel that resonates with readers in (and beyond) this unique demographic between the simplicity of childhood and the maturity of adulthood. In this intriguing presentation, you’ll hear all about which components make YA books tick, as well as the unique approaches authors in this genre might decide to take in the realms of characterization, world-building, plot structuring, and even specialized marketing to appeal to an adolescent audience. Angelina will also reference her own writing journey as an author who started writing from a relatively young age.
Presented by Angelina Singer. Angelina is the young adult / new adult author of Just Like a Pill, The Upperworld Series, and The Rewind Duology, available for purchase on Amazon now. When she’s not serving on the ARIA Board of directors, Angelina enjoys crocheting, content writing, and studying holistic medicine to pivot into an exciting career helping others heal.
This is the fifth installment of the Writer’s Aid Series, hosted in partnership with the Association of Rhode Island Authors (ARIA). Attend one, some, or all of the 6 events.
This series funded through a grant from the Friends of the Rogers Free Library.
