Nine-year-old Buddy and his family are torn between staying or moving somewhere safe as their country of Northern Ireland is embroiled in a national conflict in the late 1960s. On one side are the Protestants who want their country to remain a part of the United Kingdom, while on the other side are the Catholics who want to be detached from the Union.
